Histoy of Argentinian Tango

History of Tango

Buenos Aires was and is the undisputed capital of the tango, the Mecca of every young person who was drawing notes on a staff, to convey his poetic feelings to paper or that clears up throat to sing, even if the creativity of that life which between Bulli Creoles, Tanos, and gauchos, displaced Galicians was, and is, shared by younger sisters as Montevideo, Rosario, Cordoba and Mendoza, among others. Because the hopes and problems were, and are, equal in all major cities in the region. In all it was, and is the breeding ground.

Tango followed the vicissitudes of people and accompanied them in these decades. It had its moments of glory, as had Argentina and Uruguay. It also had periods of pain and crisis. In that sense, it was supportive of the development of peoples. But not without a dose of graceful mischief, it knew how to get its own autonomy and universalized. That is the great paradox of the tango. In the inside, it walked at the speed of society. While the Rio de la Plata "ate the world" with a booming economy, great artists, great renowned thinkers, and unbeatable football players, Tango showed all his strength. In times of pain and crisis in these countries the gender seemed sleepy and often defeated by the novels arriving from abroad. In the world, however, maintained throughout its lifetime and, for example, spectators shivered in theatres Lavalle Street in Buenos Aires, or July 18 in Montevideo and in many foreign films sounded the first chords of any tango.

Alive and recognized abroad, although in the Río de la Plata it was killed again and again. But time and again the tango emerged from its apparent ashes with new and brilliant authors, notable singers and spectacular dancers. If fact it is immortal and has the vital force, to a greater or lesser extent, given by the people through the years. For tango to die, it will be necessary for the Rio de la Plata to disappear from the face of the earth. As this does not happen, nor will the tango. And so, every so often, it will be necessary to update the history of tango, adding that it will provide new forever.

The serious and warm voice of Julio Sosa escapes from the plate of a disc, and dominates the atmosphere, gives way to a reflection, more than that, it is certainty and verification despite the interrogative tone of the verses: Who said, “¿ Quién te ha dicho, che pebete, que pasó el tiempo firulete?”  Without doubt, who made this bold statement is not of this world and not know that there will be tango while a desperate kind of kissing lips pebeta in a flower, a betrayal to tell, a complaint or a joy to share.

Origin of the word tango

Among the many mysteries behind the tango, the first is its own denomination. The tango is a voice in African cultures, Hispanic and colonial. According to some theories, tango comes from tang, that one of the languages spoken in the black means to feel, touch and approach. Among the Bantu, in addition, there are two languages that are called manga and tangui. Among the Sudanese Guineans languages, figures tangalé. Interestingly, the content of the word Hispanic is close to the African tang. Tango in Castilian voice is considered a derivative of tango, which is equivalent to chime ancient Spanish and tangere, or playing in Latin.

In the colony, in turn, tango was the name that gave blacks their patches percussion. They pronounced the word as acute tangó. And tango dances that were also organized by Africans arrived in force at the River Plate. Those meetings created such turmoil that Montevideo rich and self considered respectable, came to ask the Viceroy Francisco Javier Elio prohibiting "tangos of blacks." The Honduran meaning provided by the dictionary, refers to a kind of drum to produce the Indians, and seems closer to the African sense of the word. It is difficult to know whether this is a coincidence or a transculturation.
Just as a curiosity, because in principle it is not related to the origin of the rioplatense tango include a region of Japan called Tango, like a children's festival in this country and in Brazil that once was synonymous with tango samba.
